No API Key. No Server Costs. Just Works.

Let Visitors Ask
AI About Your Content — Instantly

SmartAsk AI adds a floating widget to any WordPress page. One click and your visitor lands in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Grok — with your product description, article, or movie review already pre-filled.

No signup, no API costs, and nothing to maintain. Just activate the plugin, pick your providers, and let visitors get instant AI answers about your posts, products, or pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — SmartAsk AI never calls an AI API from your server. It assembles a question in the visitor's browser and redirects them to the AI provider's own site (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, etc.) in a new tab. The conversation happens entirely between your visitor and the AI provider. You pay nothing beyond your existing hosting.
Some providers work without an account for a limited number of questions (ChatGPT and Gemini offer free guest queries). Others like Claude require a free account. This is determined entirely by each AI provider's own policies — SmartAsk AI has no control over it. The widget is simply a redirect with the question pre-filled.
Yes. SmartAsk AI automatically detects WooCommerce products and makes product-specific tags available — {{title}}, {{price}}, {{sku}}, {{description}}, and more. Set a dedicated prompt template in Settings → Prompts for the "product" post type, and every product page gets an AI widget tailored to shopping questions.
Yes. If Advanced Custom Fields is installed, SmartAsk AI exposes ACF field values as {{acf_field_name}} tags in the prompt template editor. The admin UI shows all available tags for each context, including ACF fields, so you'll always know which tags are available without digging through code.
Yes. Open any post in the Gutenberg editor and look for the SmartAsk AI panel in the sidebar. Toggle "Widget enabled" off and the widget is suppressed on that post only—no need to touch plugin settings. You can also set a post-specific custom prompt from the same panel.
SmartAsk AI itself stores no visitor data and makes no external API calls from your server. When a visitor clicks a provider button, they are redirected to that provider's website. At that point, the provider's own privacy policy and data handling apply. You may want to mention this in your cookie/privacy notice, particularly if you enable GTM tracking.
Yes. Enable GTM tracking in Settings → General and set a custom event name (default: "smartask_click"). Every time a visitor clicks a provider, a dataLayer push fires with the provider ID, page URL, and your event name. This works with any GTM-connected analytics platform, including GA4.
